The Abandoned Fortress is in the center of Hamaglen. It once was a stronghold but its walls are now crumbling and is often used as a neutral ground and shelter for travelers. It was once ruled by Wruenbane, having been claimed from its elemental protector by Hendel Hammerfist, but with Wruenbane's disappearance from the lands no one else has deemed to claim it for long periods of time.
There is a rumour that the fort was built to hold a dragon, due to it's odd shape.
