The character may block incoming Spell Balls with their hands, weapon or shield.

If they manage to catch the Spell Ball, they may hurl it back at an enemy, as though they were the one who cast the spell in the first place.

Shields will only block the first spell balls in the encounter, based on how many Shield WPs the wielder has (not the size of their actual shield). You may NOT save the deflections, and they apply to the first spell balls to hit your shield (even before racial spell immunities are taken into account). Once milked, the shield becomes a viable target for all spells as normal.
